I’m a little late and didn’t get this post out last weekend as planned. Then I got caught up reading all of the synopsis of all these great books that are coming out in April. It was hard to choose! So, it’s Wednesday instead of Sunday, but it’s still March! Well, at least it is here in the US. These are my Top 5 picks for our April book releases.

#5 MOST ANTICIPATED BOOK RELEASE

I don’t usually go with the slightly spooky stories, but this seems like there’s an element of fantasy that is drawing me to it! Check out this synopsis and let me know what you think.

Synopsis:

A dark, twisty modern fairytale where three sisters discover they are not exactly all that they seem and evil things really do go bump in the night.

Iris Hollow and her two older sisters are unquestionably strange. Ever since they disappeared on a suburban street in Scotland as children only to return a month a later with no memory of what happened to them, odd, eerie occurrences seem to follow in their wake. #4 MOST ANITICIPATED BOOK RELEASE

I like a good opposite’s attract novel and again, this synopsis sounds interesting.

Synopsis:  When Vanessa Price quit her job to pursue her dream of traveling the globe, she wasn’t expecting to gain millions of YouTube followers who shared her joy of seizing every moment. For her, living each day to its fullest isn’t just a motto. Her mother and sister never saw the age of 30, and Vanessa doesn’t want to take anything for granted. But after her half sister suddenly leaves Vanessa in custody of her baby daughter, life goes from “daily adventure” to “next-level bad” (now with bonus baby vomit in hair). The last person Vanessa expects to show up offering help is the hot lawyer next door, Adrian Copeland. After all, she barely knows him. No one warned her that he was the Secret Baby Tamer or that she’d be spending a whole lot of time with him and his geriatric Chihuahua. Now she’s feeling things she’s vowed not to feel. Because the only thing worse than falling for Adrian is finding a little hope for a future she may never see.

#3 MOST ANTICIPATED BOOK RELEASE

I received an early copy of this novel and really thought it was cute! It’s a historical rom-com and our protagonists witty dialog carried the novel.

Synopsis:

#2 MOST ANTICIPATED BOOK RELEASE

Again, the synopsis of this novel drew me in. The cover looks like a romance, which it is, but it’s also a mystery. This one looks intriguing.

Synopsis:

MOST ANTICIPATED APRIL BOOK RELEASE

The Hating Game was such a great book, but I really didn’t like 99 Percent Mine. I am giving this author the benefit of the doubt placing Second First Impressions in the #1 spot based on the synopsis and my hope that she delivers another great novel. Fingers Crossed!

Synopsis:

Dazzle (n): Brightness that blinds someone temporarily.

Position Vacant: Two ancient old women residing at Providence Retirement Villa seek male assistant for casual exploitation and good-natured humiliation. Duties include boutique shopping, fast-food fetching, and sincerely rendered flattery. Good looks a bonus—but we aren’t picky. 

An advertisement has been placed (again!) by the wealthy and eccentric Parloni Sisters. The salary is generous and the employers are 90 years old, so how hard could the job be? Well, none have lasted longer than a week. Most boys leave in tears. 

Ruthie Midona will work in Providence’s front office, and be at the Parloni’s beck and call, forever. That’s sort of her life plan. If Ruthie can run the place in her almost-retired bosses’ absence, with no hijinks/hiccups, she has a shot at becoming the new manager.
