Happy Monday everyone! I ran across this post on Book Date and liked the idea of sharing what I’m currently reading, so here goes!
Today is Memorial Day and I’d like to thank all of our men and women who serve our country and help make the US a great place to live!
JUST FINISHED!
Death in Kew Gardens (A Below Stairs Mystery #3) by Jennifer Ashley
First Sentence Read: “The Chinese gentleman ran from between the carriages packed the length of Mount Street and straight into my path.”
JUST STARTED
Turn the Tide (A Heart Pounding Romantic Suspense Anthology) with stories by Katie Ruggle, Adriana Anders, Connie Mann, and Juno Rushdan
First Sentence Read: ‘”I hate the mall.” Molly Said’
I’m a big fan of Katie Ruggle and I’m looking forward to reading the prequel short story to her new series about sisters who are bounty hunters. I also love finding new authors and I think an anthology is a great way to discover if you like an authors style of writing. Will they grab my attention? I’ll let you know!
Now you know what I’ll be doing on my day off, what will you be reading?

I’m listening to Death is Not Enough by Karen Rose and reading The Highlander’s Lost Lady by Anna Campbell and loving both💜

Karen Rose is a great writer and I also love a good Highland(er) Scottish accent. Lol. Enjoy!

Anna Campbell writes really good historical fiction and romance, paying close attention to the factual elements. She gets everything right. And Karen Rose…I could listen to her books forever.

I like my historical to be factual too. I’ll have to check out that author, thanks!

A KU option! Is it good?

It was a fun read. Do you have KU? Would you recommend it?

If you are a fast reader then I think KU is a good buy. If you only read one book a month then it probably isn’t a good match for you. I binge occasionally so I think I’m staying below the price of buying g the books. Does that make sense? I do find some great authors put their books on KU so I’m never lacking books in my kindle.

When it comes to money, I think it’d be smart to get KU but I don’t know about the list of books available. That’s what I’m worried about.

I think you can go to a Kindle Unlimited page to search and explore. I have actually been pleasantly surprised at the number of authors I like to read who have their books on KU however you may not find the top bestsellers. I’ve also found some great new to me authors on KU that I may not have read except for my subscription.

I think I’m leaning more and more towards getting a subscription.
